This Bench can be found in the Mooragh Park on the western side of the Boating Lake. It is the second dedicated bench on this side of the lake when travelling north.
The wooden bench has a slatted seat and back rest featuring and two arm rests.
The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
‘Deborah Colgan
28th October 1970 – 10th January 2016
When the sun shines, we’ll shine together.
Told you we’d be here forever.
Said we’d always be friends, we took
an oath to stick it out till the end.'
The bench is positioned facing the Boating Lake in the Mooragh Park and is the ideal spot to rest and watch the various boats on the Lake.
