[GER] Das Kontorhaus Bergstraße 16 an der Ecke Bergstraße/Hermannstraße wurde 1906/07 nach Plänen von Haller und Geißler gebaut. 1923/24 wurde es von Friedrich Wilhelm Zerbe und Willi Harder expressionistisch umgebaut. Es ist neben dem Stella-Haus am Kajen „der einzige expressionistische Putzbau unter den Kontorhäusern“ in Hamburg.
Über dem Eingang Bergstraße 16 befindet sich das Hamburger Wappen.
[ENG] The Kontorhaus Bergstraße 16 at the corner of Bergstraße and Hermannstraße was built in 1906/07 according to plans by Haller and Geißler. In 1923/24 it was rebuilt by Friedrich Wilhelm Zerbe and Willi Harder.

[GER] Das Wappen von Hamburg zeigt in Rot eine hervorkommende silberne Burg mit geschlossenem Rundbogentor, auf dem Zinnenkranz mit sieben Zinnen drei Türme, die beiden Äußeren vierfach gezinnt und von je einem sechszackigen silbernen Stern überhöht, der mittlere großer mit Kuppel, darauf ein Knauf und ein Kreuz.
[ENG] The coat of arms of Hamburg shows in red a protruding silver castle with a closed round arched gate, on the battlements with seven battlements three towers, the two outer ones tinned fourfold and each heightened by a six-pointed silver star, the middle big one with dome, on it a knob and a cross.
