The board is situated just outside the centre of the town of Nantwich, historically an important salt town and has information about the immediate area.

The Weaver Way stretches from its most southerly point at Audlem to Frodsham in the north, the route leads you along the Trent and Mersey and Shropshire Union Canals as well as along the River Weaver.

It is 40 miles long using fairly level terrain, mainly canal towpath or riverside paths, some country lanes and road walking in town centres. At this point the path diverts off the Shropshire Union Canal and follows an old route of the River Weaver before it was diverted.

The part of the route shown is from Audlem in the south to Nantwich in the north.
Location Name: Nantwich Lake
