This Electricity Sub-Station almost looks like a tenement building, being a narrow two-storey structure.

A 1.5 metre wide, edged concrete path leads to a dark green roller door in the dark brown brick of the lower part of this two-storey structure. It has a hip roof to the narrower upper floor, which has a twelve panel window facing Pittwater Road. The southwestern side has a lot of overt metal 'substructure' with external stairs. These days it is operated by Ausgrid.
