The Fuksa Farm is located at 1228 E0580 Road (W. Marshall Road}, just west of Highway 81 and the railroad tracks. The Old Chisholm Trail went through this land in the late 1800's. The property was originally homesteaded by James Worley in 1898. It was purchased by John and Mary Fuksa on December 29, 1916. The farm consists of 160 acres, 5 of which are included in this nomination.
The contributing items on the farm consist of 8 buildings, 1 site and 5 structures.
* The house is a frame Craftsman residence, built in 1926. It has clapboard siding and was built as a wedding present for John and Mary Fuksa. The front gable house has exposed rafter tails. We could not tell whether the house it currently occupied; we suspect not.
* The Dairy Barn was constructed in 1940. This is a two-story metal clad barn with a gambrel roof. The east and west sides have sliding shed doors. The windows are four-pane units. On the east side is a hay hook trolley. The interior has stalls and milking areas on the first floor and the second floor is a hay loft.

The farm produced wheat and other crops, and ran cattle. Other animals raised for food or income were horses, hogs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, peacock, pigeons, rabbits, and purebred Hereford bulls. The farm had a large produce garden, and cherry and apricot trees.
