[GER] Das von 1914 bis 1915 nach Plänen von Fritz Schumacher erbaute Gebäude ist ein kleiner Rundbau, der eine offene Pfeilerhalle mit zwei kurzen Seitenflügeln hat und axial auf eine langgestreckte Rasenfläche ausgerichtet ist. Diese läuft auf die Skulptur „Diana mit Hunden“ zu. Das Gebäude befindet sich im Südwesten des Stadtparks in Winterhude an der Kreuzung des Südrings und der Otto-Wels Straße.

In der Trinkhalle wurden ursprünglich Brunnenkuren für Menschen angeboten, die sich den Besuch eines Kurbads nicht leisten konnten. Besucher der Halle hatten die Auswahl aus 50 Heilwässern und dazu ausgewiesenen Spazierwegen im Stadtpark.

Anschließend wurde das Gebäude zunächst als Seniorentreff; nach vorherigem Umbau seit Frühjahr 2013 als Café genutzt.

Das Hamburg-Wappen befindet sich an der Südostseite des Gebäudes unterhalb der Kuppel, oberhalb der Eingangstür.

[ENG] The Trinkhalle was built between 1914 and 1915 according to plans by Fritz Schumacher. The building is a small round building with an open portico with two short side wings and aligned axially on a long lawn.

Originally, well cures were offered in the drinking hall for people who could not afford to visit a spa. Visitors to the hall had a choice of 50 therapeutic waters and designated walking paths in the city park.

Subsequently, the building was initially used as a senior citizens' meeting place; after previous renovation, it has been used as a café since spring 2013.

The Hamburg coat of arms is located on the southeast side of the building below the dome, above the entrance door.
