En hommage aux membres de la communauté universitaire qui ont contribués au fil des ans, à maintenir ou à rétablir la paix dans le monde, particulièrement durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Pus de 1000 diplômés de l’Université d’Ottawa ont participé au conflit de 1939 à 1945 et plus d’une cinquantaine d’entre eux y ont perdu la vie. Cette plaque commémorative a été dévoilée le 11 novembre 1998 dans le cadre des célébrations du 150e anniversaire de l’Université d’Ottawa.

Text of the Plaque:

Unveiled on November 11, 1998 during the University of Ottawa's 150th anniversary celebrations, this plaque honours the members of the University of Ottawa Community who over the years, have helped maintain or restore peace in the world, especially during the second World War (1939-1945) Of the more than 1,000 University of Ottawa graduates who took part in this armed conflict, more than 50 lost their lives.
