"32. 205 East Main Street, the Mrs. John Isbell House (1931), ca. 1928. A two story three
bay brick Colonial Revival house with a stone foundation. The house has a side gable roof and
an off-center front entrance. The front door is sheltered by a gable roofed stoop cover. Both
the two story brick and frame addition on the west elevation and the rear brick addition appear
early if not original and have 1/1 windows. Round arches above the 6/1 first floor windows on
the main elevation have been bricked in either originally or at an early date. The windows on the
second floor and the side elevations are also 6/1, but are topped with segmental arches. All of
the windows on the front elevation have shutters. There are fanlight windows in the gable ends,

"East Main Street is the northernmost thoroughfare in the district. East Main Street begins at
Jefferson Street and terminates at the driveway entrance to 401 East Main Street. It runs east
and west and is four blocks long. Houses on both sides are East Main Street are within the
boundaries of the district. Of the twenty-two houses on the street, sixteen are contributing
