This concrete bridge over Bloody Tanks wash is built to a design purchased from the Topeka Bridge & Iron Co. The design was drawn up by Daniel Luten and thus this is a Luten Arch Bridge. The bridge was built in 1918. The wash is normally dry but always presents the risk of a flash flood which would divide the town of Miami lengthwise. The bridge is vital in moving traffic across the wash.
