Inspiration Avenue Bridge - Miami, AZ - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

This concrete bridge over Bloody Tanks wash is built to a design purchased from the Topeka Bridge & Iron Co. The design was drawn up by Daniel Luten and thus this is a Luten Arch Bridge. The bridge was built in 1918. The wash is normally dry but always presents the risk of a flash flood which would divide the town of Miami lengthwise. The bridge is vital in moving traffic across the wash. Inspiration Avenue is named for one of the early mines in the area.
