The socalled Ibisbridge (Ibisbrug) is a small, but because of it's special design, extraordinary moving bridge (Type Drawbridge).
The Ibisbrug streches over the Scheepmakershaven between the similar named street and the Hertekade. The errection of the bridge startet in may 2012 and was finished almost one year later in april 2013. The bridge is called Ibisbridge because of the Ibis-like shaped lifting structure.
The bridge streches over about 45 meters. The movable part in the middle is 11 meters wide. It is only for pedestrians and bicycles. The design is from Marja Haring (Ingenieursbureau Rotterdam).

Die Ibisbrücke (Ibisbrug)ist eine kleine, aber wegen ihrer Form, außergewöhnliche Hubbrücke. Sie überspannt den Scheepmakershaven und reicht von der gleichnamigen Straße mit der Hertekade. Die Brücke wurde im Mai 2012 begonnen und im April 2013 ihrer Bestimmung übergeben. Sie ist wegen ihrer charakteristischen Form die dem Schnabel eines Ibis ähnelt später als Ibisbrücke benannt worden. Die Brücke ist 45m breit, der anhebbare Teil überspannt 11 Meter. Die Brücke ist ausschließlich Fußgänger- und Fahrradbrücke. Sie ist aus Stahl und wurde von Marja Haring(Ingenieursbureau Rotterdam) entworfen.
