To locate this disk go to the end of the parking lot on Chained Rock road and follow the walking path and steps to the overlook viewing deck. It's just in front and to the left of the viewing deck foundation by about 7 feet.

REFERENCE MARK NO.2 IS SET IN LARGE BOULDER OVERLOOKING PINEVILLE. IT IS 1.35 FEET NORTH OF OCCIDENT (USGS). THE DISK IS SET FLUSH AND IS STAMPED LOOKOUT ROCK NO 2 1950. OCCIDENT (USGS) IS SET IN LARGE BOULDER OVERLOOKING PINEVILLE. IT IS 1.35 FEET SOUTH OF REFERENCE MARK NO.2. IT IS A DRILL HOLE ABOUT 1.5 INCHES DEEP AND IS THE DEEPER OF TWO IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY. TO REACH STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 25E AND STATE HIGHWAY 66, IN PINEVILLE, GO SOUTH ON HIGHWAY 25E FOR 1.2 MILES TO THE ENTRANCE TO PINE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK ON RIGHT, JUST BEFORE REACHING A RAILROAD CROSSING, TURN RIGHT ON PAVED ROAD (PARK ENTRANCE) AND FOLLOW MAIN TRAVELED ROAD FOR 2.8 MILES TO A TRAIL ON RIGHT LEADING TO CHAINED ROCK, AND END OF TRUCK TRAVEL. FROM HERE PACK UP TRAIL ON RIGHT FOLLOWING MAIN TRAVELED TRAIL FOR ABOUT 1 MILE TO STATION AT HIGHEST POINT NEAR TRAIL AS DESCRIBED. (THIS IS ABOUT 1 MILE - 30 MINUTE PACK.) HEIGHT OF LIGHT ABOVE STATION MARK 5 METERS.
