Located at 518 W. Main Street, this is a one-story dark red building in the Neo Classical style. Originally built as the U.S. Post Office in 1935 with funding from the Treasury Department, it was donated to the City by the federal government when a new post office building was constructed in 1966.
The building is square with a flat roof. The front entrance has seven steps leading to a single glass door with sidelights and transom. This entrance and the tall fixed window units on either side are set between four brick pilasters with stone capitals. All other window units are set evenly in singles around all sides of the building. Around each window unit is a row of soldier bricks. In the 1980's, the window units were remodeled to contain bronze reflective glass.
The formal look is rendered by a stone water table about 30 inches above the ground, and a stone cornice. Two stone panels are located on each side above the cornice. On the facade, letters reading "Henryetta, Oklahoma" remain on the brick frieze. The southeast corner has a simple concrete cornerstone reading "1935."
