The Town of Miami was founded in 1907 and the mines were staffed by immigrants of Mexican and Slavic descent. The church was dedicated in 1917 and is now celebrating its jubilee year of service to the community. The church is in a Spanish Mission Revival style. The front facade features two domed towers each mounted by a cross. Appropriate to its location, the domes are sheathed in copper.
