Did you know this area is BEACH STONE-CURLEW habitat?
Only seven breeding pairs of the endangered Beach Stone-Curlew (Esacus neglectus) exist on the NSW north coast and some live here on our undisturbed ocean beaches.
The Beach Stone-Curlew is a shy, well camouflaged, thick set shorebird with a grey-brown upper body and black and white patterning on the face, shoulder and wings. It has a heavy, black tipped, yellow bill and long legs with thick 'knees'.
