The statue of Yuri Gagarin was transferred at the beginning of the 1990s from the former Soviet embassy to the roof of a private home in the villa district of Plittersdorf.

On the roof of a private house in Beethovenallee stands a statue of Yuri Gagarin.
The statue was stored in the park of the then Embassy of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s and was to be disposed of. The owner of the house could buy the statue and had it placed on the roof of his house. The transport took place with a Fiat 500.
