The church was Built in the middle of the 18th century. Consecrate on June 12, 1756. Originally, the church was built without towers due to lack of funds. The towers were completed in 1912. There are seven altars in the church. The main altar is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Budišove nad Budišovkou byl postaven v letech 1745 - 1755. Zásluhu na tom má kardinál Ferdinand Julius, hrabe Troyer, který poskytl finance a stal se patronem stavby.
Monumentální pozdne barokní kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie byl vystaven v letech 1745-1756. Veže byly z nedostatku financí pristavbe pouze provizorne zastrešeny. Jejich dokoncení probehlo až v roce 1912.
