This bronze statue on a granite base located in the Hohenhorstpark in Hamburg-Jenfeld was made by sculptor Hans Martin Ruwoldt and was cast in 1964. It shows one of the artist's favorite motifs, in this case a lying panther.
Hans Martin Ruwoldt, actually Hans Martin Meier (born February 15, 1891 in Brunsbüttelkoog, † October 16, 1969 in Hamburg) was a German animal sculptor and portraitist.
