[GER] Am 15 Juli 1926 nahm die Straßenbahn auf Ihrer neuenStrecke den Betrieb auf. Die Dulsberger konnten nun mit der Linie 8 von St. Pauli über die Haltestelle Hauptbahnhof zum Straßburger Platz fahren. Hier existierte eine Wendeschleife......
Heute kann man an dieser Stelle ein kleines Stück der Doppeltrasse eingebettet in Kopfsteinpflaster besichtigen. Eine der wenigen Stellen in Hamburg, wo ein Teil der Schienen erhalten geblieben ist.
[ENG] On 15 July 1926, the tram started operation on its new line. The Dulsbergers could now take line 8 from St. Pauli via the Hauptbahnhof stop to Straßburger Platz. There was a reversing loop here.......
Today you can visit a small part of the double terrace embedded in cobblestone pavement. One of the few places in Hamburg where some of the rails have been preserved.
