This stone tablet was erected in 2002 and dedicated to those people from the Maltese Island of Gozo who have emigrated to other parts of the world. It stand next to the marina overlooking the ferry port.

Gozo is the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago and since 1900 has had a number of periods of emigration especially in the 1960s and 70s.
They emigrated to many places in the world, but large numbers went to Australia and Canada.
Of the people who emigrated in the 1960s and 1970s many have since returned to the island having had successful careers abroad.
The inscription on the memorial is as follows.
