This is 'just' a nicely painted white, concrete trig pedestal; but it does have the name plate embedded in it still. Which reads:
"Central Mapping Authority
Geodetic Station
AWABA
1973"
A good place to park, to walk the Reservoir Fire Trail that runs up the back of the nearby rubbish tip, is off to the north of Wilton Road, at: S33° 1.410' E151° 32.520'. Unfortunately some dumpers have found a way around the locked gates and rock barricades, leaving a mighty mess within sight of the place where the rubbish should have been tipped.
