The benchmark is just below the ground surface along a public greenspace / trail. Although a couple of inches below the surrounding ground level, the disk was not buried when I found it. Two wooden stakes were laying on the ground beside the marker. This area looks to be under recent development (grading, tree planting, trail construction). There are several places where you can park and access the trail. I walked over from one of the nearby hotels. The disk is marked "ALBERTA SURVEY CONTROL 1978 2 82 20 18"
