This monument was placed here by American Legion Post 123 and its Auxiliary. It is a pink granite pillar with a pointed top. A cross is engraved at the top with the Scripture: "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS JOHN 15:13"
On the front of the monument are names of those who gave their lives in World War I and II. On the back of the monument are engravings of the seals of five branches of the military, as well as a continuation of World War II veterans, plus those from Korea and Vietnam. A total of 90 names are engraved here.
On both sides of the monument, these words are engraves:
On this granite, as in our hearts, we engrave the names of our Okfuskee County Veterans who were killed in action and who died of injuries while serving the United States of America during war time.
