A church spire, this is the spire atop the Cedonia Community Church in the little community of Cedonia. It is about 3.5 miles north on Highway 25 from the village of Hunters.

The spire consists of a long wooden finial atop the church's steeple/bell tower, topped with a metal ball about 8 to 10 inches in diameter. The church and steeple were completed in 1897, while the spire was monumented in 1936 by the Bureau of Reclamation.

Much of the NGS description is either incorrect or relies on landmarks which no longer exist. Duvall's service station is now gone, the church is west of the cemetery and north of the dirt (gravel) road. Highway 22 is now Highway 25 and Harvey Creek Road is now known as the Cedonia-Addy Road.

THIS INTERSECTION STATION WAS RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION.
A NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS--

STATION IS A SMALL SPIRE ATOP A CUPOLA OF THE ONLY CHURCH (WHITE) IN CEDONIA. THE CHURCH IS LOCATED JUST S OF A SMALL GRAVEYARD, ABOUT 0.2 MILE N OF DUVALLS SERVICE STATION, AND ABOUT 300 FEET W OF A Y-JUNCTION (STATE HIGHWAY 22 AND HARVEY CREEK ROAD). IT IS 20.4 METERS W OF THE CENTER LINE OF A DIRT ROAD.
