This light orange brick building on The Boulevarde is almost directly the Lakemba Rail Station, and just down from the Post Office. It has an irregular multi-faceted shape to its outline and roofline. There is a long shallow ramp from near the intersection of Croydon Street, up to the front entrance. While there appeared to be some secured parking beneath the building, it may be only for the staff, with on-street parking for customers.

From their website:
"Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre ?has many different features, and of course, a large collection of books and publications.

"There are Baby Rhyme Time sessions and Preschool Story Time for babies and preschool children. The library also offers school holiday activities as well.

"Homework Help is available on Mondays, as part of our Homework Assistance Program.

"There are computers and Internet access available for everyone to benefit from during opening hours.

"You will also find plenty of other useful services, including Justice of the Peace and English as a Second Language classes."
