On either side of the symmetrical brown-brick, single-storey building, are sandstone Foundation Stones from 1930. Looking south at the building, the one on the left (eastern side) has the following engraved inscription:

This Stone was Laid
by
Ald. S.A. LLOYD J.P. Mayor
 on the
1st March 1930

D.T. Ackroyd & Gordon W.F. Udal
     Architects Builder

[Unfortunately, as sandstone is wont to do, when exposed to the elements, it has weathered some, and some of the wording is hard to decipher, so, 'Errors and Omissions' are mine.]

On the right-hand side of the covered portico, that is supporting the Town Clock is the second Foundation Stone, with the following inscription:

This Stone was Laid
by
Lt. Col. The Hon. M.F. Bruxner
 D.S.O. M.L.A.
Minister for Local Government
 on the
1st of March 1930

The brown brick building has an open portico, with brown brick pillars on the outer side of 'decorative' white Doric columns. There are two steps up to the portico, with a further step into the 'Strathfield Burwood Chiropractic' practice.
