Treten Sie ein in fürstliche Lebenswelten!
Das Celler Schloss zählt zu den schönsten Schlössern der Welfen, einem der ältesten noch heute existierenden Fürstenhäuser. Als „castrum“ im Jahre 1318 erstmals erwähnt, wurde die zunächst einfache Burg im Laufe der Jahrhunderte zu einer aufwendigen und prachtvollen Vierflügelanlage umgebaut und ständig erweitert. Renaissance und Barock gehen hier eine unverwechselbare Mischung ein.
Neben dem Residenzmuseum beherbergt das Schloss das älteste, heute noch bespielte Barocktheater Europas sowie die Schlosskapelle, das einzige Gotteshaus nördlich der Alpen mit vollständig erhaltener Renaissance-Ausstattung. Der Besuch der Staats- gemächer und der Schlossküche ist ebenfalls Bestandteil von Schlossführungen.
Darüber hinaus können sich Besucher einer der zahlreichen Themenführungen anschließen. Kostümführungen, die im Rahmen der Erlebnisreihe „Zwischen Mittag & Kaffee“ angeboten werden, sind gesondert gekennzeichnet."

Celle Castle is one of the most beautiful castles of the Guelphs, one of the oldest princely houses still existing today. First mentioned as "castrum" in 1318, the initially simple castle was rebuilt over the centuries into an elaborate and magnificent four-winged complex and constantly expanded. Renaissance and Baroque enter into an unmistakable mixture here.
In addition to the Residence Museum, the castle houses Europe's oldest Baroque theatre, which is still in use today, and the castle chapel, the only church north of the Alps with fully preserved Renaissance furnishings. A visit to the state apartments and the castle kitchen is also part of the castle tours.
Visitors can also join one of the many themed tours. Costume tours offered as part of the "Zwischen Mittag & Kaffee" experience series are separately marked."
