In 1932 The Daily Telegraph Sydney reported, when opening Adelaide Bridge it was the "largest reinforced concrete bridge in the world, having a total width of 132 feet."

NEW ADELAIDE BRIDGE OPENED
ADELAIDE, Thursday.— The new £65,000 city bridge over the Torrens, on King William Road, was opened to-day by the. Governor, Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven.
It is believed to be the largest reinforced concrete bridge in the world, having a total width of 132 feet.
