The plaque says, "The Youth of the Leo Club of Grandview (Junior division of Lions International) dedicated this memorial to express its gratitude, respect, and pride in the men of the Vietnam, Korean, and all wars. Both living and dead, who have given of themselves so valiantly that we and others will share in America's divine gift of freedom. Through their past efforts, our present goals and tomorrow's aspirations rings the hope that the bell of liberty will someday toll in the hearts of all men.
May the light of freedom, comping to all darkened lands flame brightly until at last the darkness is no more."
