The English translation of the title is The Childhood, and the statue captures that moment from childhood when a child has run after birds in a park.
The birds are suspended from long metal rods and so move in the wind making it look even more realistic.
The statue is in a small grassed public area next to the bus station in Gozo's capital city, Ir-Rabat (Victoria).
Ir-Rabat (Victoria) is the capital city of the island of Gozo. The name Victoria was given to the town in 1887 in honour of the famous British Queen’s Golden Jubilee. At the same time, the town was raised to the status of a city becoming officially known as Citta’ ir-Rabat (Victoria).
