Neben einer namenlosen Straße in Absdorf steht ein kleine Kapelle. Auf der linken Seite ist ein auffälliges, großes Kreuz mit gelber Farbe bemalt. Eine kleine auf der Vorderseite angebrachte Tafel informiert:
Neue Blankkapelle
Als Ersatz für die alte Blankkapelle 2011/12 originalgetreu wieder aufgebaut und im Mai 2012 von Pfarrer W. Grootaers eingeweiht. Mitte des 19. Jh.s ließ die Familie Blank den Kapellenbildstock zum Dank dafür, nach zehn Jahren kinderloser Ehe, einen Sohn bekommen zu haben, erbauen. Ursprünglich am Ende des Kirchenackers erbaut musste die Kapelle infolge des Bahnhofsumbaus abgetragen werden.

There is a small chapel next to a nameless street in Absdorf. On the left side is an eye-catching, large cross painted with yellow paint. A small panel on the front panel informs:
New Blank chapel
Reconstructed as a replacement for the old Blank chapel 2011/12 and inaugurated in May 2012 by Rev. W. Grootaers. In the middle of the 19th century, the Blank family had the chapel built in thanks for having given birth to a son after ten years of childless marriage. Originally built at the end of the church field, the chapel had to be demolished as a result of the rebuilding of the trainstation.
