Along Highway 2 west of Coulee City, the best way to find P 388 is to look for the witness post, a white sign on a steel post.

Again, the NGS datasheet refers to the Farmer Post Office and Store, which no longer exist. P 388 is 11.7 miles east of the Farmer Community Hall and 600 feet east of G Road. The benchmark and the witness post are about 30 feet north of the highway, fairly easy to spot from the road. The Benchmark itself is covered with a rusty baby moon hubcap.
