Located on the NW side of the city center, Lynchburg City Cemetery is home to two famous people: Jack Daniels and Lemuel Oscar Motlow. The cemetery is well maintained, but hilly in some area which may hold water after a heavy rain. There are four entrance drives on the south side of the property, bordering the three sections that run N-S. This is a beautiful cemetery to visit in May when all the trees and grass are so green.
