On display next to the police department. Imprinted on the bell is L.M. RUMSEY MFG CO St Louis Mo 1892

The police department was the original city hall. The building was erected in 1896. It originally had a 20 ft bell tower and this is where this bell hung. Remodeling in 1930's removed the tower.
This bell was used to call firemen to fires and also to call town meetings.
