[FR] The house is characterized by a lard courtyard-peristyle with a bassin in the center, around which many rooms were arranged. Constructed at the end of the 1st/beginning of the 2nd century AD, this private residence underwent architectural modifications in the 3rd century : the central basin was filled in, the floor and courtyard were paved over and a multi colored mosaic decorated the floor of a 80 m² room for receiving guests. This richly decorated residence was abandoned in the 4th century.

The mosaic was restored and is visible by appointment at the Tourist office of Clermont-Ferrand.

The public display case at this location presents several models of residence, information about the excavations, as well as the methods used to restore the mosaic.
