EN: This anchor stands in front of the entrance to the Rhine Police on the Unterer Rheinweg in Basel.
There is no indication where the anchor came from. It is just decoration.
The Rhine Police is located on the river side in a listed former monastery from the 13th century, in the same building there is also a museum and the offices of the cantonal preservation of monuments department.

Es gibt keine Angaben, woher der Anker stammt. Er ist einfach nur Dekoration.
Die Rheinpolizei befindet sich an der Flussseite in einem denkmalgeschützten ehemaligen Kloster aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, im selben Gebäude befinden sich auch ein Museum und die Büros der kantonalen Denkmalpflege.
