This square crennallated Clock Tower was extended in height, with the renovation of the Church in its Centenary year, 1938. It is now about 5 metres taller, with a level parapet and elliptical protrusions on each corner.
Even a casual look at the outside of the Church will show that there is a difference in the stone work of the walls of the Church and the Tower. The Church had a lower sloping roof line, possibly 30°, whereas now it would be 50° now.
