"An Edwardian or late-Victorian pub, originally a hotel, with an imposing exterior at the village centre. It had some good original interior features until an opening-out and complete internal rebuild in 1991. Large single bar-lounge with raised areas each end. Sports TV. The bus stop to Leicester is just outside.
Historic Interest -
The pub was owned by Daniel Pettifor's Steam Brewery, Anstey, until 1900 when Pettifors were taken over by Marstons."
