Memorial Park is dedicated to many persons and events in Hennessey history. It includes sculpture, monuments, and historical markers. This is a gray granite monument which has three sections. The center, taller section is engraved with a torch and the words:
Lest We
Forget
Honoring the veterans of
World War One and World
War Two who so valiantly
and triumphantly defended
our national honor
Erected by the
War Dads and War Mothers
of the community

The left section of the monument dedicated to World War I has 15 names and dates; the right section dedicated to World War II has 12 names/dates and one missing in action.
