Edson Cemetery is a City owned cemetery that was laid out in 1845. The cemetery was named for the rector of the St. Anne's Church. The earliest structure on is a Gothic style chapel built of rough-faced granite. The chapel is 25' wide by 50' long. It has a porte cochere and a triangular steeple on which is inscribed the word Chapel.

The cemetery has a regular, well marked, street grid forming rectangles and triangles. There are over 4,400 memorials in the cemetery.
