This gymnasium is a one-story red brick building on South Main (Highway 81). The Hennessey grade school was attached to this gymnasium on the north side, but has been torn down. A photo of the classroom building can be seen here
Visit Link.
The gymnasium is rectangular running east-west and has a barrel roof. A windowless extension on the north (formerly part of the grade school) has a flat roof. The entrance faces west and has a small rounded area to its south. To the south of the entrance are very modern, stylized letters reading "GYMNASIUM". The wall of the old classroom building has the cornerstone showing 1941, and above that is mounted a bronze WPA shield showing 1941-2. We could not determine if this gymnasium is being used today.
