Bull Foot Park commemorates one of the popular watering stops for cattle on the Chisholm Trail, traveling from Texas to the rail heads in Kansas in the late 1800's.

Along the walking trail is this pink granite marker placed by the Oklahoma Historical Society. At the top of the marker is the Native American shield, as seen on the Oklahoma flag. Beneath that, the marker reads:

BULL FOOT
STATION
On the old Chisholm Trail, this
station was noted for its water
well; the name, from a huge in-
dentation in the ground here,
resembling imprint of a bull's
foot. Buildings were still stand-
ing on site, 50 yards east of the
old Trail, and 4.5 miles south of
the north line of the Oklahoma
land which was opened to set-
tlers, by the great Run, April
22, 1889.
