The Dennys Lascelles wool warehouse was the first building in Victoria planned to facilitate storage, inspection and marketing of wool in one operation and upon completion was the second largest store in Victoria. The classical three storey warehouse of squared bassalt blocks was constructed in 1872, the building now houses the National Wool Museum and the Geelong Visitor Information Centre
