Something one seldom sees any more is a dental clinic with a bell tower.

We don't know how many dental clinics there are with bell towers, but they could probably be counted without having to take one's shoes off. Most dentists will simply phone their clients to remind them of upcoming appointments, not ring a bell.
In truth, we suspect that this building may once have been a church, possibly even a school or a fire hall, and has been renovated and repurposed as a business block, saving the bell tower for its character.
Square and open on all four sides, the bell tower has a hipped roof with flared eaves, much like old bell church towers of old. We couldn't see a maker's name on the yoke, but found that this is a 34 inch cast iron bell.
Unless this is a building moved from Michel or Natal when those towns were resettled to Sparwood this building would be from the late 1930s at the oldest. The town of Sparwood was sparsely settled in the 1930s, but didn't really become a town until the residents of the nearby coal mining towns of Michel and Natal were resettled in Sparwood.
