The Clay County Courthouse Square, dominated by a rather large imposing Art Deco limestone courthouse, has many historical and interesting features worth a visit. Most notably, the Jesse James Bank that is a part of this waymark, and the old jail that held Joseph Smith and his Mormon followers, that is not.
