A pair of seats that appear ready to launch you far into Little Lake. Despite the imposing design, the seats are completely functions and quite comfortable. The two seats are sighted on the the 100-foot tall Centennial Fountain in the middle of the lake.

This is one of three artistic seating installments under the "benchmarks" project. A plaque describes the project as follows:
"These park benches were commissioned in 2005 as a Legacy Projects to commemorate the One Hundred Anniversary of the City of Peterborough. As part of the Centennial Celebrations, the benchmarks Committee conducted a public art competition, inviting professionals artists from across Ontario to submit proposals for the design of park benches with the site and the centennial theme Imagine Peterborough in mind."
