L’église baptiste évangélique de Repentigny a vu officiellement le jour en 1980. Vers la fin des années 70, un groupe de croyants évangéliques de Repentigny voulait implanter une église baptiste dans leur ville. Ceux-ci fréquentaient l’église baptiste évangélique d’Ahuntsic à Montréal. Ils ont cherché les soutiens de l’Association des églises Baptistes évangéliques du Canada, dont l’église fait toujours partie.
Ces croyants ont structuré l’église en bonne et dû forme auprès des autorités gouvernementales. Ils tenaient d’abord leurs assemblées dans les maisons, avant de louer différents locaux dans Repentigny pour ensuite acquérir le bâtiment situé au 224 Notre-Dame, qu’ils ont occupé de 1989 à 1999.
En 1999, l’église a fait l’acquisition du 324 Notre-Dame qu’elle occupe en ce moment. Cet emplacement est plus adapté aux services que l’église désire rendre à la communauté.

The Evangelical Baptist Church in Repentigny was officially created in 1980. At the end of the 70's, a group of Evangelical believers from Repentigny wanted to have a Baptist Church in their own city. Up until then, they were meeting in the Evangelical Baptist Chruch of Ahuntsic, in Montreal. They asked for the support of Association d'Églises Baptistes Évangéliques au Québec, to which the church is still affiliated today.
Those believers built the structure of the church and duely registered it before government officials. At the beginning, the meetings where held in private houses. Eventually, accommodation were rented in Repentigny, before they could buy the building located at 224 Notre-Dame, where they were from 1989 to 1999.
In 1999, the Church acquired the building at 324 Notre-Dame, where it still is today. These premises are better adapted for the services that the Church intends to offer to the community.
