GH0811 - Municipal Standpipe - Waukomis, OK - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

On the western edge of town, two water tanks stand at the corner of King Avenue and CR 2860. The tank to the west has benchmark GH0811 at its top. The tank is painted light blue.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1968 (LLC) STATION IS LOCATED AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF WAUKOMIS, AT THE WEST END OF KING STREET AND IN THE NORTHEAST ANGLE OF KING STREET AND A NORTH-SOUTH SURFACED ROAD. A LARGE STEEL STANDPIPE, 120 FEET IN HEIGHT, PAINTED SILVER IN COLOR AND HAS TWO SMALL MARKER LIGHTS ON TOP. POINT INTERSECTED, WAS THE TOP-CENTER OF THE STANDPIPE.

The only difference noted is that the tank is no long painted silver, but light blue.
