5,50 meter high and 2,3 tones heavy bronze statue is a gift from People's Republic of China to Marx's home city, Trier. Erected 5th of May 2018, at 200th anniversary of Marx' birth.
Karl Marx (5 May 1818 – 14 March 1883) was a German philosopher, mostly known for his work The Capital and The Communist Manifesto. He have foreseen the rise of the Communism as the new government system, however contrary to his prognoses, the communism arose not in capitalistic west, but in feudal east. Nevertheless, in the countries describing themselves as communistic, worshiped as the father of communism.
