This very large mural is on the northern side of the Quest Building in the Nowra Central Business District. It was completed in April this year by locally born, world renowned contemporary street artist Smug or Sam Bates.
An article was published in the South Coast Register, website listed below, on 12 April 2018 regarding the mural. The article states in part:
"It is the fifth in a series of stunning murals which have been funded by the Shoalhaven City Council and the Nowra CBD Revitalisation Committee in collaboration with the Verb Strategy. Now living in Glasgow, Scotland, Smug travels the world producing stunning work."
The mural was painted on a smooth wall & is four storeys high. The lower section is partly obscured by an adjacent building. The subject George Sobierajski is well known for his vibrant land and seascape paintings. It appears that he also enjoys seeking out native animals with the mural showing him with a pair of binoculars & two small animals, feathertail gliders perhaps, in their natural surroundings.
